Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon coconut aminos
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 4 lettuce leaves for wrapping
- For the Spicy Sriracha Slaw:
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup paleo mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce check for paleo-friendly version
- 1 teaspoon honey or substitute with paleo sweetener
- 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, chopped basil, chopped green onions, grated ginger, coconut aminos, salt, and pepper
Mix until well combined
Form the turkey mixture into 4 burger patties
Heat coconut oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
Cook the turkey burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side or until cooked through
While the burgers are cooking, prepare the Spicy Sriracha Slaw
In a separate bowl, combine shredded cabbage, paleo mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, honey or paleo sweetener, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper
Mix until the slaw is well coated with the dressing
Serve the cooked turkey burgers wrapped in lettuce leaves and topped with the Spicy Sriracha Slaw
