Ingredients:
- 4 cups apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 chai tea bag
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions:
Place the chopped apples, sugar, and lemon juice in a large saucepan
Add the chai tea bag and spices to the saucepan
Cook the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until the apples soften and the mixture thickens about 20-25 minutes
Remove the chai tea bag and discard it
Use an immersion blender to blend the jam until smooth, or leave it chunky if you prefer
Continue to cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the jam reaches your desired consistency
Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving a 1/4-inch headspace
Seal the jars with lids and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes to ensure they are properly sealed
Allow the jars to cool completely before labeling and storing in a cool, dark place
